WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT BOARD HOSTED TEA & TANGO FOR WOMEN'S CENTER
Cleveland, Ohio—WEB, the Women's Empowerment Board, a Cleveland non-profit group devoted to enriching the lives of needful women, presented its second annual fundraising event June 4, 2006, from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Cleveland Botanical Garden.
WEB's Tea & Tango social benefited the Women's Center of Greater Cleveland. The Center provides opportunities for women to take greater control of their lives physically, emotionally and economically.
The Tea & Tango program included a luncheon inside the Garden, a silent auction, best hat contest, a presentation by WEB founder and WKYC-TV 3 morning news personality, Jacque Smith, and a special program and dances by Dr. Jeannette Potts, the Cleveland Clinic physician also known as Dr. Tango.
The Hudson office of Pamela Bayer Interiors donated $500 in interior designer services to the event for the silent auction. Owner Pamela Bayer attended the Tea and also bid on and won three auction items, contributing another $200 to the event. All proceeds of the auction went to the Women's Center.
