Pamela demos Thanksgiving decorating tips
Official food set decorator for Time Warner's Your Community in Cleveland, Pamela is also a regular interior design expert on the show. This week she provided tips for jazzing up your Thanksgiving tablescape, using the colors, textures and fixtures of the season. Plates, chargers, glassware, napkins and runners in orange, sage, brown, gold and maroon combine with elements from the outdoors, like twigs, berries and pinecones, to create a warm, earthy feel.
And transitioning into the winter Holidays doesn't have to be expensive. Many of the dinner and decorating staples from Thanksgiving can be maintained and freshened with new accent pieces and the colors of December, which aren't just limited to traditional greens and reds. The items shown here are all from Pier 1 in Cuyahoga Falls, and are affordable, and often on sale to boot.
Pamela also brought an array of amazing holiday desserts, generously donated from the Great Lakes Baking Company in Hudson (85 South Main St., 330-342-5878). Scones, muffins, artistic sugar cookies, homemade breads, tarts and more deliciously covered her food set design...and were scarfed up minutes after the show was over!
