Is Eva Longoria's real bedroom as alluring as her Desperate Housewives' boudoir? On what kind of kingly bed does LeBron James crash after a big game?
We may never know, but interior design expert Pamela Bayer had some ideas for these celebrity bedrooms, and how the rest of us can achieve similar star-quality designs without having to take out a second mortgage. Appearing on TV 3's Good Company in late January, Pamela presented designs tailor-made to appeal to these two superstars.
Should reps for the sultry actress or Cavs legend happen to come calling, Pamela will be glad to add them to her VIP portfolio, which includes set design for Rachael Ray, Inside Edition and A.M. Best, the world-renowned credit rating agency, along with Howard Stern sidekick Robin Quivers.
Bayer, who counts NBA player Stephon Marbury as a client, knew that the 6'8" "King" James would have unique needs. "The room is very spacious and everything is customized," she said, including the extra-large mattress. Furnishings and accessories had to be "sleek, contemporary, youthful and masculine."
She added, "Of course every man needs a gigantic TV in their bedroom!" For Longoria, fiancee of NBA player Tony Parker, Bayer said, "I see her style as 'old-Hollywood,' art-deco, beautiful, elegant and streamlined." The master bedroom suite had a soft, elegant look, with a four-poster bed and chandelier, fireplace and sitting room.
Pamela Bayer is a frequent guest on Good Company, offering design expertise and seasonal decorating tips.
