Interior design trends for 2008
If home improvements are on your list of resolutions for the new year, it's good to know where interior design is trending before you invest, whether in simple fixes or major construction.
To avoid decorating in styles that are "so last year," watch Pamela's December 28 interview on WKYC-TV 3's Good Company for a preview of what's in for bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
For the bathroom, Pamela displayed the latest in shower heads, sprays, and systems, as well as faucets and a luxury fixture from Toto, all courtesy of Trumbull Industries in Akron.
With help from ProSource of Kent, she showed what's fashionable in floorcoverings, including interchangeable carpet tiles that can be mixed, matched, and easily replaced.
For the kitchen, Pamela presented what's happening with backsplash, accent, and floor tiles, thanks to Stoneworks in Bedford Heights.
If you've never thought of hardware as an art form, it's amazing how decorative drawer and cabinet knobs, and creative switch plates and fan pulls can inexpensively transform a room. Pamela shows you how with original concepts from Eclectic Junction.
Walls aren't just for painting, but if you're going to cover them with something else, make the right choice. Textured wallcoverings are in, and Pamela sampled the hottest fabrics from MDC Wallcoverings.
She also demonstrated ultra-stylish upholstery fabrics from Kravet and Robert Allen. To bring it all together, Pamela featured vogue accessories from Vignettes in Hudson that add a personalized finish to any room.
She appears on Good Company monthly as the show's interior design and lifestyle expert. In a weeklong series beginning January 7, she'll reveal her apartment makeover for program co-host Andrea Vecchio.
