Home & Garden
By Kathryn DeLong
During this pre-tinsel time of the year, your home can celebrate the richness of late autumn with a relatively small outlay of cash and effort.
Hudson interior designer Pamela Bayer suggests using such affordable decorating items as table scarves and runners, dishes, napkins and napkin holders to spruce up your dining room or kitchen with fall colors. In the living or family room, change the pillows or add a basket of pinecones to the fireplace area. Think strategically: A few well-placed gourds, fall candles or other seasonal items will keep you in good stead through Thanksgiving. And then, let the holiday madness begin.
