Designer ShowHouse and preview night sure to dazzleThe Junior League of Akron and the Summit County Historical Society announce their annual showcase of exceptional interior design, the Designer ShowHouse 2006. This years' event consists of three buildings (Perkins Stone Mansion, John Brown House, and Wash House) on the Summit County Historical Society property located on the corner of Copley Road and South Portage Path.
Hudson interior designers Pamela Bayer of Pamela Bayer Interiors, and Katherine Harmon of Bella Abode, were among those selected to transform spaces within the historically significant structures.
Designer ShowHouse 2006 opens on Friday, May 26, with a Preview Gala, "A Roaring Night!" The event is black tie optional or themed attire, and will feature cocktails, dinner, entertainment, and an exclusive preview of Designer ShowHouse 2006.
Tickets to the Preview Gala are obtained by invitation only. Those interested in receiving an invitation should contact the Junior League of Akron at 330-836-4905. Tickets are $150 per person or $250 per person patron level.
The homes will open to the public for tours on Saturday, June 3, and will run through Sunday, June 25. For information regarding times, ticket sales, and special events, call the Junior League or visit juniorleagueakron.org.
